Great job. Love the idea. I know some kids who go to a private, religious college in Malibu where the administration (THE MAN!) pours through profiles and pictures looking for underage drinking, then uses it as evidence to expel or suspension. Crazy, huh?

This such a great story. Years ago I had a friend who would help promote parties at a place they called Mexico. The cops busted it, so they of course just moved to another spot they called New Mexico. They made sure to put fliers all over the place, ensuring the fuzz would show up again. And when they did, it was just him and a group of people in the back of a pickup eating Oreos and drinkin' some milk.

When reading this story somewhere else I could not wait to see the pictures because I wanted to see an angry "Sgt. Dick" with cake on his face, but I have to say that upon seeing the last picture it made me feel like you are the real dick. I know nothing of this story other than what I've read. Until the picture everything that I'd read had me cheering you, but a picture tells...

It must have something to do with the girl in the background effecting that grotesque laughter; she looks as if her sole purpose on earth was to be there for that moment. To me, her gaping mouth conveys a petty satisfaction at having fought the law and won. Oh please. Yeah, lets hate the cops because they take our beer away. If you really think it is wrong then fight the people who are making the laws, fucko. Cops just do what they are told, they don't hate you or beer anymore than anyone else.

Why is this story in the New York Times? It seems as if the NYT was only interested in your episode in order to promote their opinion that we as a society may be in danger of losing some of our freedom. Whether we are or not I don't know, but I hardly see your case as cause for alarm. If the NYT is trying to show evidence of lost freedom by citing a story about kids who are pranking adults over beer... well the NYT is a shitty little paper then, and you are wasting time chasing beer. Hmm, kids chasing beer...that sounds like something I've heard from somewhere... H....O...L...L...Y...W...O...O...D...? ? ?

That girl in the background was an employee of CLLC, and was part of the force busting us. She wasn't an attendee of the party, and I guess if the partygoers "won" then she was on the "losing" side. One of the university police officers was amused, the other wasn't. The guy in the yellow actually thought it was pretty funny.

I think that you're making this more angsty, rage against the machine than it actually is. We were just having a good, absurd time.
