This all began while I was contemplating Steve Urkel's glorious eight month reign over the George Washington University campus. Let me explain: on a whim, I put up a huge rastorbated picture of the greatest actor's picture on a sky bridge over a main campus thoroughfare. Expecting him to last just a few weeks at the most, I put a note on the back that said "Student art project, please do not remove" replete with a loopy signature and a GW seal sticker I bought from the book store. Time passed, and after eight wonderful months he started to fall, and soon he fell down, completely. Alas.
But something had to replace him. Something that could be just as good, if not better. That's when I had the idea. Pacman.
Here are the photos from the construction and hanging. I ran into serious problems when I discovered that the tape I had didn't stick to felt. To solve the problem, I ended up gluing little squares of note cards to the back, as the glue would adhere to both very well, and then tape the note cards to the glass.
Victory.

All said and done, it cost around $30, and took about an hour of cutting and gluing. Hopefully it will last as long as Urkel did. Thanks to Brett and Jason for helping with the hanging.
Update: Last night I hung up the artist's statement. I think it's worth a gander.

pac-man
that is an awesome idea! almost existential, in a way... i think that pac-man really brought us together as a nation in the 80's. this project is basically a commentary on how far we've come since then. ;P anyway, maybe you should do something with ms. pac-man so all the feminists don't feel left out (and it might score some points with the ladies).
